Two Walsh Jesuit seniors – Leah Smith and George Zogrofakis have advanced to Semifinalist status in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship competition. Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) recently announced the names of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
During our first Mission Day this past Friday morning, Juniors and Seniors gathered in the Chapel for a seminar on leadership. Students heard from Julie Hudec '02, Dean of Students, and Tim Dunn, Director of Campus Ministry, who commissioned this year’s Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist.

Warriors were crowned state champions yesterday in Columbus as the men's volleyball team defeated Bishop Watterson in three sets: first set (25-17): second set (25-17); third set (25-19). Congratulations!
Chloe Gunther and Vince Rizzo received the Jesuit Schools Network (JSN) Award. JSN promotes the educational ministry of the Society of Jesus among Jesuit secondary and pre-secondary schools in the United States and Canada.
In the summer of 2018 the school renovated its 54 year old cafeteria that resulted in a better flow of traffic, smarter food station positioning and the ability to offer more healthy food options to our students.
Junior Braden Ost was recently notified that he received the highest possible ACT composite score of 36. Only around two-tenths of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. In the U.S. high school graduating class of 2018, only 2,760 out of more than 2 million graduates who took the ACT earned a top composite score of 36.
Ten Walsh Jesuit seniors participated in National Signing Day. Each of these students has signed a letter of intent for a collegiate sport with a Division I or Division II school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association. Walsh Jesuit honored these student athletes with a signing ceremony on February 6, 2019.
