Giving to Walsh Jesuit High School

Walsh Jesuit has many success stories in its more than 50 years serving the youth of Northeast Ohio. Our students learn to be men and women for and with others and to find God in all things.
The Walsh Jesuit High School Advancement Department provides, in a sustainable manner, the necessary financial resources to support and enhance the mission of Walsh Jesuit High School.
Your gifts allow all of this to happen. You have helped us build one of the best campuses in Northeast Ohio and have helped us prepare young men and women for the new millennium.
Below is valuable information about supporting Walsh Jesuit. Please contact me if you have any questions, or if you would like to contribute to our goal of funding the mission of Walsh Jesuit High School.

Ways to support Walsh Jesuit

List of 7 items.

  • The Warrior Fund

The Warrior Fund is Walsh Jesuit’s annual campaign to support the school. The funds raised through the Warrior fund help to offset the difference between the actual cost of a Walsh Jesuit education and the amount parents are charged for tuition. Gifts to the Warrior Fund benefit all current students.
Click here for more information on the Warrior Fund.
  • Endowment

The Walsh Jesuit Endowment Fund exists to provide funding for the school in perpetuity.Currently the Walsh Jesuit High School Endowment fund has a value of $15,000,000. Each year 5% of the interest generated by the endowment is distributed to the annual operating budget to cover tuition assistance needs as well as restricted endowment allocations. The listing of these endowment funds can be found in the Presidents annual report.

Classmates, family members, and friends of Walsh Jesuit can make donations in any amount in memory of departed loved ones or in honor of living individuals. Unless otherwise designated to apply to a specific named endowment, these memorial and honor gifts are added to the general Walsh Jesuit High School Endowment for financial aid.
  • Planned Giving

One of the best ways to ensure Walsh Jesuit's future is to become a member of the Warrior Legacy Society, formerly known as The Loyola Society.  The Loyola Society name has been changed to The Warrior Legacy Society to reflect that this society recognizes those in our community who have chosen to ensure that Walsh Jesuit High School continues to provide a Jesuit education for the young men and women of northeast Ohio through naming Walsh Jesuit in their wills as an estate gift.

  • Matching Gifts

Your gift could double!  Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable donation made by their employees.  Check with your employer and your spouse's employer to find out if they sponsor matching gifts.  View the List of Companies.
  • Gifts of Stock

Giving appreciated stock to Walsh Jesuit High School is a wonderful way to help us continue our mission and for the owner to receive tax benefits on such gifts. It allows Walsh Jesuit High School to receive a larger gift than if it was sold by the owner and the proceeds donated to the school. In turn, the owner receives a greater tax deduction by giving the stock directly to Walsh Jesuit.
Many people who own stock today have it held for them by their brokerage firm. To sell the securities held by your brokerage firm, an Electronic Transfer can be done to fulfill your wishes in selling or disposing of securities.
